1. Data Collection & Privacy

Quick Symbols is designed to be privacy-first. We do not track your browsing activity, clipboard history, or keystrokes. The core symbol search and copy functionality runs entirely locally on your device.

2. Payments & Licensing

To unlock Pro features, the extension verifies your License Key using the Gumroad API.

• Data Transmission: When you manually enter your license key, we transmit strictly the license key to Gumroad's servers (api.gumroad.com) to verify its validity. check its authentic usage status, and confirm your purchase.
• Local Storage: If your license is valid, we store a secure token or status flag locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) to keep your Pro features unlocked.
• No Personal Storage: We do not store your name, email address, credit card details, or physical address on our own servers. Payment processing is handled entirely by Gumroad.

3. Local Storage

We use Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save:

• Your list of "Recently Used" symbols.
• Your "Favorite" symbols.
• Your Pro status (isPro: true/false).

This data never leaves your browser.

4. Third-Party Services

• Gumroad: Used for payment processing and license key generation. Their privacy policy applies to the checkout and purchase process.
• Google Fonts: The extension loads fonts from Google Fonts to provide a consistent UI.

5. Updates to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify users through the extension update notes.
